Our colleague and dear friend Rex Chant, who sadly passed away on the 22nd of March 2026 after his battle with cancer.
Rex enjoyed every type of Motorsport and sport and really enjoyed the interaction so marshalling came naturally to him. He marshalled at Combe for almost 50 years.
A larger-than-life character, who was always in good spirits, calm and collected, and in his own words, ‘ let’s let the dust settle before we act’.
He will be greatly missed by people who knew him and the team he was a big part of.
Rest in peace Rex, you will be will always be in our thoughts.
At the season opener, the Marshal Team raised a toast to Rex, thank you for your unwavering support over the years Rex.
