Castle Combe Racing Club has confirmed a second 40‑minute ‘mini‑enduro’ for closed-wheel cars – the ‘Castle Combe 100’ – at its Midsummer Mania Race Day 31 August.
The announcement follows the overwhelming success of May’s Dave Allan Trophy race which drew close to a 40-car grid comprising a wide variety of machinery, from GTs and sportscars to modified saloons to conventional hot hatches.
The Combe 100 will again feature a timed pit stop which will be increased to a minimum 90-seconds following competitor feedback. Drivers contesting the race solo need not extract themselves from the car during the pit stop.
The entry fee will remain the same – just £200 per car. This also includes a 20-minute qualifying session.
“We believe this represents probably the best value for money in terms of amount of track time for the club competitor on any circuit in the UK,” commented CCRC Chair Keith Johnston.
“The Dave Allan Trophy attracted a phenomenal grid and even greater racing with some giant-killing performances.
“The competitors loved it – we are delighted to put on the same format for them again and stick to the £200 entry fee.”
Entries are now open – please email Catd@ccracingclub.co.uk or call 01249 784160.
